National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit

(March to November)

The NPARU is based at the University of Worcester and is the main provider of pollen forecasts, fungal spore forecasts and pollen data for the whole of the UK and all of Ireland.

In Autumn 2009, NPARU expanded with a set of purpose built, state-of-the-art laboratories and a climate controlled chamber

We offer a number of services:

National and regional pollen forecasts for trees, grass and weeds (today and tomorrow, five days ahead or one month ahead).
Quality controlled data for clinical trials for the UK and most European Countries.
Training in Aerobiology.
Training in Fungal Spore Identification
Product and device testing for allergen and bio aerosol removal including house dust mite allergen, cat and dog allergen. Examples include Air Filters, Ionisers, Air Purifiers.
Testing Indoor Air Quality in the home and workplace.
Topical themes for public relations and media
Expert information for leaflets, posters, web sites and promotions.
Environmental Test Facilities
Microbiological Services
Forensic Palynology Services
Trials of products and remedies for the relief of allergy.
